A good bit has happened over the past 2 weeks with Patrick.
Last week we had an ultrasound that revealed a problem with his blood
vessels near his liver again...this is what they had seen back in the fall but
seemed to go away but was more extensive this time. They also saw some
collateral vessels in the spleen. We are to keep our scheduled
appointment with the local liver doctor on May 14 but need to call a doctor if
he gets worse (internal bleeding). We also had some extensive testing on
a stool specimen because of his diarrhea which all came back normal. The
hematologist (we saw last week) was recommending to the liver doctor to have an
MRI but will more likely discuss this with the liver doctor in May.
